The BendDesk
The BendDesk brings Minority Report-like capabilities to your desktop, while bridging the horizontal and vertical planes of our work desks.

The "bend" is the 90-degree curve in the middle of the display. BendDesk can track up to ten fingers at once, and uses a combination of three cameras, two projectors and a bunch of infrared lights.

Solar Roof Water Heating
Water heating can take up nearly 20% of your home's energy usage. The Greenward Ridge Vent uses the entire roof as a heat collector to heat your water, but instead of having tubes over your entire roof, the Greenward tubes are installed just on the ridge.

And since you can cover the installation with the same shingles as the rest of the roof, there is no unsightly addition to your roof.

Heated water goes through a heat exchange and stores hot water in a tank that can then be drawn directly into your hot water thank.

Using Cinnamon to Produce Gold Nanoparticles

Researchers have found that instead of using toxic chemicals to product gold nanoparticles, they can use cinnamon.

Gold nanoparticles have the potential to detect tumors, search for oil, light the streets and cure diseases.

“Our gold nanoparticles are not only ecologically and biologically benign, they also are biologically active against cancer cells,” said Kattesh Katti, a professor of radiology and physics at the University of Missouri School of Medicine.

  2. I agree... the solar roof heater is a great idea, but I don't think very many people will have the money to afford it.

  4. That bend desk would be real sweet for artists! It seems like it would be easier to see the design of your project with it sitting right there in front of you.

  6. Both of these ideas are very good and they both seem very inventive. Who knows what will actually make it in this highly technologically advanced world. I would say that if i had a choice between these two completly differing products i would choose the bend desk. It is just crazy
