We would like to use this post to discuss some money making business ideas that we have tried or thought of. Also we would like to here of some ideas you have had
IDEA #1 Raising organic vegetables- You can buy kits online for mushroom/onion and other vegetable kits to grow in your basement and then sell to local reastauraunts. This is a very low start-up cost but, could be hard to be successful and even if it was would not produce large profits.
IDEA #2 Making wooden furniture. We have experimented with making barstools to sell on craigslist. We built one, realized that we were not going to make a big profit and gave up. However, if you already have all the tools you need and have access to cheap wood you could be successful.
IDEA #3 Buying/selling. We have considered buying items of craigslist that we believe are good deals during the off-season and selling them during their respective peak seasons. For example, we have a friend in Oklahoma that purchased a Sea-doo for $300, used it for a month, and then in the peak of summer sold it for $900!
We have other ideas in the making.... but we want to here YOUR ideas!
would you say that craigslist is a viable business site?
ReplyDeleteidea no. one sounds a little shady to me. how is it possible to grow vegetables in your basement?? arent they supposed have sunlight to grow? good thought tho!

I think idea three has the best chance of working. If you have some extra cash to spend on stuff thats out of season it could def. work
ReplyDeletehave a gold party! Have people bring old gold jewerly or things made out of gold that you don't want anymore. Bring in a person that can take the gold and give you and your friends money for all the gold you have. I know some people that have walked home with hundreds of dollars at the end of the night. The person that host the party also makes a certain percentage off the rest of the people.
ReplyDeleteI like idea three as well, mainly because I like to buy and flip stuff myself. If you have money that you can use to put towards something that is selling for a low price, then you should take advantage of it. Especially in this low economy there is ample opportunities for this type of business.
ReplyDeleteCraigslist is the most useful website on the internet! a person cant find better deals. i agree with Britt, if you have the money to spend craigslist is the place to shop
